In 2009 we took over the operation of Riverview Memory Gardens.  Since then we have been able to put over $100,000 back into the  property and received donations to restore the chapel bells.  This is only possible because our family does not depend on the cemetery as its sole source of income.  Riverview Memory Gardens has been managed by companies outside our community for the past ten plus years.  It needs so much work and care to bring it back to its former self!  Trish has a grandfather and great-grandparents buried at Riverview so it really does have special meaning for her and her family.  
This alliance also gives Riverview Memory Gardens an inside agent with tools to help its property owners plan and fund their final arrangements using life insurance to pay for their expenses at time of need.  Pre-planning for final expenses goes hand in hand with estate planning.  Why go to an insurance agent for funding of final arrangements and still make another appointment with yet another person to make the actual arrangements.  No one wants to go through that conversation more than once!  Additionally, Trish can put her Medicare knowledge to work in Medicare spend-down situations.  It has become a really good fit for the two entities.
